ABSTRACT This study investigated how the mental representations of the interpersonal relations (object relations) can be a modulating factor for implication in the treatment.  A research with a group of 92 outpatients was made, assessing the relations of object by Rorschach test, from multimodal perspective: dynamic (M.O.A. Scale) and structural (Clusters of Variables). Data for the treatment involvement were started from the clinic sessions registry. An assessment for the therapeutic alliance, resources selfmanagement, capacity of repair, sense of humor and remission patient’s symptoms was made. The obtained results show that more in the treatment were implied the subjects that presented/displayed poor and heterogenous objetales relations (that is to say, several levels of psychological operation) and a low self-esteem or low self-confidence. Also more relevant results were the style of answer (EB), the presence of a high level of introspection and the passivity in the interactionshow the individual differences in objects relations affect the treatment involvement and allow the therapist to define the design of the intervention to make.
